Hard Ferrite,also known as ceramic magnets, are made of a sintered composite ofpowdered iron oxide and barium/strontium carbonate by die pressing andthen sintering. Hard Ferrite magnets are easy to work with andwell-balanced in their magnetic properties. In addition, they haveexcellent corrosion resistance with a normal working temperature rangebetween 40 C to + 250 C. Due to the low cost of the material andmanufacturing method, HF magnets are relatively inexpensive and are themost widely used magnet today. While the magnetic strength is higherthan, for example, AlNiCo magnets they are typically much weaker thanNdFeB magnets.
